Relate. Explore.

In working with a new client, I first want to build rapport as you share your story so far. I take a relational approach and want to get to know my clients so they feel comfortable. Goals for the work are something we will talk through in the first session. Sometimes goals are hard for people and the goal might just be to “feel better” and that’s okay! I meet people where they are and go from there. It’s a joy to meet new clients who are on their own unique journey.

My hope for you is to see counseling as an investment in yourself and your journey. I see clients virtually and in-person. I offer free 15-minute phone consultation if you would like to speak to me before scheduling a session.

Seek. Cope.

In my counseling approach I seek to create a sacred space where the wounded or subconscious “hidden” places of the heart can be discovered and saturated with the truth of who we are in Christ. Believers often know the truths of who we are in the mind, but it’s a journey for the heart to receive. However, if God feels distant or not relevant in your life right now that’s okay too. I welcome working with people of all faiths and backgrounds.

I’ve worked with all types of clients, but mostly adults; ages 18 to 80s. I see people as unique individuals and although people may label their problems; depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues etc., we take a deeper look at your story. The manifestation of the issue is how we have learned to cope with the difficult experiences we’ve had in life. This may not have changed us for the better. The goal is to re-purpose those issues to improve the direction of your thoughts and ultimately your whole life.

Heal. Grow.

We work together to move beyond surviving. When you are able to take an honest look at where you are, have the support you need, and work through the challenges, thriving is possible and closer than you think.

Whatever is going on, I am here to walk you though it. I come from a faith-based perspective, but bring much of my mental health background and clinical training into the work. My prayer is that God would illuminate your path as you put the pieces of your story together. We truly do have a personal and loving God who is eager to be involved in our lives. Sometimes when we look back and it’s difficult to see where He was during our most difficult times, but my hope is that you start to see Him more clearly as we work though the challenges you are facing and move forward.
